After 4 months in business we thought it
was time to have a chat with the admin Jane from UrOnlineBux to see how
things are going and try to figure out how she makes so much money from
running a PTC?
Q: How is UrOnlineBux doing
moneywise efter 4 months?
Jane: It is pretty much doing like all
other PTC sites, there is enough to pay the members and to pay some
staff for moderating the forum etc. If you are lucky yout get a few
bucks to yourself too.
Q: So the PTC site itself is not
very profitable?
Jane: No, it never is. Unless you
consider a few hundred up to a thousand dollars per month in personal
income "profitable".
I think that is pizza money compared to the amount of work you put in.
You can have periods of time when you get a good cashflow into the PTC
site but then the payouts to the members will catch up on you. As a PTC
admin you should try and save up all the money you can, specially if the
site is new.
Q: We have seen your incomes from
UrOnlineBux and you net around $7,000-8,000 every month?! Where does the
money come from?
Jane: Well it sure doesn't come from the
PTC site. I just use the PTC site as a tool to make lots of money on my
other sites.
Q: You mean putting up your
affiliate links to communities and Clickbank and such?
Jane: No, Clickbank is a nice
little extra income but it doesn't generate the kind of money
I am earning. Clickbank products generate around $1,500 per month and I
use most of that money to pay the the PTC members. After all I am using
the PTC to advertise my own websites and I would have to pay for
advertising elsewhere anyways..so why not use it on our own PTC? Earning
from advertisers and clickbank is old school.
Q: So you have other sites that you
advertise and that is where you make the money?
Jane: Correct.
Q: But isn't that this pretty much
like advertising Clickbank products?
Jane: No it is not. You see, I don't care
if the PTC users buy products on my websites or not. If they do, then it
is a bonus of course but I really don't need those sales. I am using
UrOnlineBux.com to get the traffic rank to my other sites. Basically
what I am after by advertising on a PTC site is the Alexa rank and the
page rank. It works much better and faster than any SEO.
Q: So you don't bother with search
engine optimization at all?
Jane: Not really, I make sure that the
common phrases and keywords are there and that the content is
automatically updated to get a higher rank with Google and Yahoo.
Q: Aha! So with highly trafficked
and ranked sites you can make loads of money then?
Jane: Yes, I see you are getting the hang
of it now. If you know about online marketing you know there are
loads of opportunities to use a highly ranked page to make great money.
The PTC site is the TOOL not the income source, that is a really
important lesson to learn.
Q: So that is your secret and why
you make a lot of money while other PTC admins don't?
Jane: With the risk of sounding cocky I
want to say that most PTC admins don't seem to know much about REAL
online marketing and that is why they will never earn more than pizza
money and work their butts of to get it.
Q: What kind of websites do you
promote then and how much do you have to work with them?
Jane: I create websites in various niches
and I really don't spend more than a few minutes on each one of them
every week. Once the website is made there is not much else that needs
to be done with them, they generate money automatically. I just need to
make sure I keep advertising them to keep the traffic up and the page
rank.
Q: It is still a bit unclear
exactly what you do with these sites. Can you explain further?
Jane: Explaining the methods of each
income source I have on the websites would take much longer time than we
have for this interview. Besides I get paid by people for revealing this
info so I am not giving it away here for free, not in detail at least.
All I can say is it is not very hard to make money from websites with
high traffic but it takes some knowledge in online marketing.
Q: Do you have a coaching
programme?
Jane: Not yet, we are a few people who
are working on a whole new member site for PTC admins only where people
will learn these techniques and where I reveal my techniques. Members
will have to pay a monthly fee to sign up. I will not do personal
coaching though. Today I just show some basics to people who are willing
to pay for my time and then provide them with material (ebooks, videos
etc) so they can learn how to earn the kind money I make.
Q: Why don't you provide personal
coaching?
Jane: I don't have the time. Simple as
that. Personal coaching take an awful lot of time that I can spend
making real money instead. I don't think many people want to pay me $1,000 -
$2,000 for a week's coaching, because that is what I have to
charge to cover up for losses of income while coaching. Instead I
recommend people to buy a membership on the new site where they will get
guides on how to setup a successful PTC site, how to make real money
from it etc. It will also be a big help to PTC admins who are just
interested in catching cheaters and improve security. There are lots and
lots more to this site but I can't say more about it right now as it is
secret project.
Q: Yes, I have heard rumours if
this project. When will this site be launched
and what will membership cost?
Jane: Hopefully in a month. We have not
established the monthly fee yet but we know that the first month will
have to be a bit more pricy than the following months as the member get
his own PTC script the first month. A wild guess is $100 for the first
month and then about half that price for the following months, but I am
not sure.
Q: Do you think anyone is willing
to pay that much?
Jane: Yes, if they are serious
about making money online. Considering what they get for the money it is
really cheap.
Q: Can anyone join this new site?
Jane: No. The site will deal with
sensitive information and only trusted PTC admins and online marketers
will be allowed to join. There will be a limited amounts of spots. Besides
I don't want everyone in the PTC idustry to start using
my marketing strategies. When people apply for a spot we have to check
them up to make sure they are serious and not have any scam reputations
to their names. The classic phrase "I had to close the site because I
got hacked" is the most worn out phrase among scammers these days...or
even worse, they claim to sell the site and the new owner never show up
and the site close down. It stinks scam and we will not deal with
PTC admins with such a history.
Q: So there will be a group of
elite PTC admins that make loads of money and where the small ones are
left out in the cold?
Jane: I guess you can put it that
way. If all the spots are taken then there will be no room for new
members. However even admins of small PTC sites have a chance to join
when we start and the same chances as the rest of us to become a real
webpreneur. First come - first serve. I even have a few spots reserved
for people who want in already even though they have no idea what this
site is really about. I guess people are fed up with the measly
incomes and the hard work and want to take their PTC sites into the next
level.
Q: Isn't there a risk that small
PTC sites will go extinct then?
Jane: It's a free world, they can join or
they can choose not to....or they can try and come up with their own
strategies. But yes, PTC admins that join this programme will have many
more advantages and resources and more MONEY than the average PTC admin do. I
wouldn't say that it means that small PTCs will dissappear though. There
is always a market for nice small businesses where the members get more
attention from the admins.
Q: But doesn't it mean that all the
advertisers will go to the elite PTCs and scratch the small ones?
Jane: That is possible but not likely.
Small PTCs sometimes have lower prices than the big PTCs and even though I
find it a total waste of money to advertise on small PTCs there are
still those who prefer doing just that to save money.
Q: I see you even have a
UrOnlineBux business car now? It says: "Make money online NOW! So easy,
just click on ads!" and then there is the URL underneath.
Jane: Yes, it is really cheap
advertising. I travel around a bit and I like the UrOnline colours we
use so I thought it would look nice on a car. When parking somewhere I
try to park near a University, Library or Work office. Those are places
where people are likely to use computers to go online or look for a job. Lots of poeple get curious and ask me about it. I always
have business cards with the same text on and the URL that I give
to those who ask about UrOnlineBux. Never
underestimate offline marketing. It's a fact that most people out
there have no idea what a PTC site is and that it is even possible to
make money online.
Q: What is your personal goal with
all this?
Jane: I hope to reach a personal monthly
income of $10,000 before December this year.
Q: And for UrOnlineBux.com, what
are the goals?
Jane: We will keep running it as usual
but with a new script and hopefully with some more staff so that we can
avoid delays in order processing etc.
Q: With your incomes it wouldnt be
a problem to hire more staff would it?
Jane: No but I am just hired by
urOnlineBux and I don't decide over the money that is to be paid to the
staff. I have no interest in starting to pay the staff out of my own
pocket. There is also the problem of finding people that you can really
trust to handle the money and the databases. We don't want to get more
people involved than absolutely necessary. Look at the coders out there
that people have trusted, many of them turned out to be nothing but
common thieves and they have stolen money, referrals and premium
memberships from PTC sites. I have a names of well known coders and
hackers that we will reveal on the new site, along with their true
identities.

Jane: No problem, I'll get back to you with more
