ClixMx.com has been around for a short while and in that short time
had a lot of success on the Alexa traffic chart. The site achieved a
good UOB rating of 6.75 as a result of the high performance and good
prices. We decided to get hold of the owner to find out more about
this improving site.
UOB: Hi there Jose Manuel of ClixMX.com thanks for taking the time
to answer our questions. First I would like to know when was it that
you decided to get into the PTC industry – is there anything that
inspired you in anyway?
JM: ClixMX.com was born as a project on February, and it took two
months to be officially launched. We decided to get into the
industry after using some websites like Bux.to, IsabelMarco.com and
realizing the big potential there is for marketing in this model of
business. We did a lot of research before starting with the project.
UOB was of great help, we read almost every article related to the
subject.
UOB: This industry now compared to last year is much more
competitive as so many have tried to achieve the success of the
earliest PTC sites. Have you found it difficult to make your site
stand out?
JM: It has been more difficult than what we thought, that is true.
However we have reach a little over 10,000 members in less than two
months. This may not be as much as other sites have achieved, but
considering we had little experience in the market, I think it is
ok. You know what they say about going slow and steady.
UOB: I believe that no matter how much competition there is at any
one stage in the industry any site that has a determined owner will
become successful. Would you say you have the determination and
patience to make it through this early stage?
JM: Yes. ClixMX.com is backed up by VisualPro Software; a Mexican
company that provides IT services and produces software for local
companies. This gives ClixMX.com the support and resources that are
necessary to grow and become profitable. We are here to stay and
succeed.
UOB: Did you do much research on PTC sites before you set one up?
JM: Yes. We joined many PTC site, read lots of forums, join UOB and
read every article we could find. Our accounting department did some
research and came up with some numbers to let us know if it was
worth the effort. We still have a lot to learn, and to improve in
the website, but we are working on it.
UOB: What would you say to people who have not signed up to your
site yet, what are they missing out on?
JM: We are still a very new PTC site; members have lots of
opportunities to get direct referrals for this reason. Besides, we
will be implementing many new features to the site, and as you know,
the best promotions are always in the beginning.
UOB: I am sure you understand the industry does have a bit of a
tarnished reputation from scam sites and cheaters which is less of a
problem now but do you feel the industry is still not getting the
outside attention it deserves?
JM: Definitely. I think most people do not understand how PTC works,
so they immediately classify it as a scam or a “too good to be true”
deal. On the other hand, many advertisers haven’t realized the power
of PTC either. I believe it is a matter of time and effort from PTC
site owners.
UOB: Of course there are still quite a lot of cheaters in the
industry that seem to go undetected and prevent profits on some PTC
sites. Would you say you are on top of this issue at ClixMX.com?
JM: We are working as hard as we can on this issue. However I don’t
think it will ever be completely eradicated. Internet has lots of
good things, but it also has some bad ones; scams and cheaters (in
any industry). They will always try to cheat and we will always try
to stop them.
UOB: What is the situation with the TOS on ClixMX, are you aware
that it like so many other PTC sites has a slight error? This is in
reference to the line that reads “We have the right to terminate
your account at any time for any reason”. Any reason means you are
saying you can terminate peoples account if you don’t like their
name and so on. Do you not think this could be changed to say “for
any valid reason” You lose 0.5 points in a UOB rating for having
this error. Will this line be corrected at ClixMX?
JM: As you may have noticed, our site is based on the SecureBux
Script; which we found to be the best at the time. To be honest we
did not take the time to rewrite the TOS as they are standard in the
industry and we had no intention to have any special features in the
beginning. But you are right, that line has been changed to say “for
any valid reason”, and we will rewrite all the TOS in the near
future to make sure there are not any more mistakes.
UOB: What is next for ClixMX and where do you see the site in
another 2 months from now?
JM: We will be implementing new features like “Paid to join” offers,
referral replacements in every purchased and probably 24hr payout
for qualified members. We will keep promoting and giving the best
service possible, so hopefully we can hit the 30,000 members in a
couple of months.
UOB: Do you work on this site full time and exactly how many hours
do you work on the site each day?
JM: I personally work on the site about 6 hours a day, but there is
a team of four people working on different areas like security,
promotion, programming etc. as part of their every day job.
UOB: What is your opinion of our site UrOnlineBiz.com?
JM: It is definitely one of the best Ezines on money making products
on the Web. it has been a major source of help and information for
us in many of our projects, including ClixMX.com
